Direct care supports and services meet the person to person needs of each individual.
Direct support staff assist with day to day tasks such as dressing, toileting, bathing, going to medical appointments, household cleaning, preparing meals, grocery shopping and other activities that assist people with making friends and being a part of their community.
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Automobile
- Proof of Auto Insurance
- Satisfactory background check for child care and nursing home care
Provides/oversees that continual training is present in the assessment, development, implementation, and/or management of assisting individuals to attain their own personal outcomes. Personal outcomes for individuals may be achieved by opportunities being present in the areas of self-identity, autonomy, affiliation, attainment, safeguards, rights and health wellness. Trains, supervises and evaluates program staff ensuring evidence of personal outcomes for consumers.
- Bachelors Degree in Human Services field
- 2 years directly related experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Automobile
- Proof of Auto Insurance
- Satisfactory background check for child care and nursing home care
- Patience and common sense
- Good communication skills
- Problem solving skills and a willingness to learn from others
- An open mind and flexibility

Today, Sunnyhill supports over 200 individuals in residential programs and more than 500 adults and children in recreational programs. Sunnyhill employs over 200 support staff.
