This holiday season, you can make a profound difference for adults with developmental disabilities in our community. Sunnyhill offers two exciting ways to give—each delivering essential support and festive cheer when it’s needed most!

Flurry of Hope – Host Virtual Snowball Fight

Join the fun and spread joy online! Create a fundraiser on Facebook, Instagram, GoFundMe & More! Tag your friends, and inspire others to join the snowball fight for a great cause. Every contribution, big or small, builds a Flurry of Hope—providing essentials, connection, and holiday smiles for Sunnyhill participants.

Tip: The more snowballs you throw, the bigger the flurry of kindness!

How to Get Started

  • Flurry of Hope: Launch your fundraiser and tag friends to join the festive fun!

  • Facebook Fundraiser

    • Log in to your Facebook account.

    • Click Menu → Fundraisers → Raise Money.

    • Select “Nonprofit” and search for Sunnyhill Inc.

    • Enter your fundraiser name, fundraising goal, and end date.

    • Add a photo or video to tell your story.

    • Share why you support Sunnyhill and invite your friends to donate.

    • Click Create, then start sharing your fundraiser with your network!

    • Tip: Tag friends and post updates to encourage others to donate or launch their own virtual snowball!

    • Open Instagram and create a new Story.

    • Tap the Sticker icon, then choose “Donation.”

    • Search for and select “Sunnyhill Inc.”

    • Add story text and images explaining why you’re fundraising.

    • Post your story; encourage friends to donate or create their own fundraiser.

    • Tip: Stories last 24 hours, but you can post multiple times or save as a Highlight for lasting impact.

    • Visit www.gofundme.com and click “Start a GoFundMe.”

    • Choose a Personal/Charity fundraiser and search for Sunnyhill Inc. if prompted.

    • Enter your fundraiser title, goal amount, and story.

    • Upload a photo or video to personalize your appeal.

    • Share your fundraiser link via email, text, and social media to encourage donations.

    • Tip: Post regular updates and thank donors personally to keep momentum building!

    • Set an inspiring but realistic goal—even small goals can snowball!

    • Share your fundraiser widely on social media, email, and text.

    • Tag friends and encourage them to create their own, making your “snowball” grow even bigger.

Contribute to
3% Cover the Fee

All funds raised through the Flurries of Hope Snowflake Fund will be used to purchase holiday gifts and seasonal supplies for individuals supported by Sunnyhill. While donation levels reflect sample costs, all contributions are pooled and distributed based on individual needs and staff recommendations. Sunnyhill is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Blizzard of Support – Snowflake Match Challenge

Double the impact of your generosity! Start a Snowflake Match Challenge by pledging to match donations (starting at $1,000), and help multiply every gift received. Your Blizzard of Support ensures vital supplies and emergency happiness reach adults in our ISLA and Residential programs.

Matched Gifts Make a Difference:

  • $25 covers hygiene and cleaning supplies

  • $50 funds winter gear or a holiday meal

  • $100 provides utility assistance or personal items

  • $250 enables emergency support or household furnishings

3% Cover the Fee

Sunnyhill is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, established in 1979 (EIN: 43-1150250, Missouri Tax Exempt: 12483150). Contributions to the Snowflake Fund are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Mary F.’s matching pledge is capped at $3,000 and will be applied to donations received by 1/15/26. Donations will be pooled to support holiday gifts for individuals receiving Sunnyhill program supports programs across Greater St. Louis, St. Charles and Jefferson Counties. No goods or services were provided in exchange for this contribution.
