Benefits at Sunnyhill

For Part-Time & Full-Time Employees

  • Premium Pay Holidays (Hourly Employees): Earn 1.5x your regular pay rate for hours worked during designated holiday periods:

    • Thanksgiving Day: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

    • Christmas Eve: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

    • Christmas Day: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

    • New Year’s Eve: 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM

    • Fourth of July: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM

  • Retirement (401k): Eligible employees (21+, 1 year of service, 1000+ hours worked in the prior year) can participate in Sunnyhill’s 401k plan. Look for details in the employee newsletter or posted flyers. Note: Sunnyhill does not contribute to this plan.

  • Voluntary Supplemental Benefits: Assurant Voluntary Supplemental Benefits are available within the first 30 days of employment and during annual open enrollment. Contact an Assurant representative for details.

For Full-Time Employees (Your full-time status date may be different than your hire date, depending on the circumstances. However, all full-time hourly employees MUST work 40 hours per week.)

  • Health Insurance: Comprehensive health benefits are available, with employees contributing a portion of the cost per pay period.

  • Dental Insurance: Provided by Sunnyhill at no additional cost to employees.

  • Vision Insurance: Available with employees contributing a portion of the cost per pay period.

  • Basic Life and AD&D Insurance: Sunnyhill provides a $15,000 Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment policy at no cost to full-time employees.

  • Bereavement Leave: Up to three days per calendar year for immediate family, as defined in the Employee Handbook.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Use PTO for holidays, vacation, personal days, or illness. Accrual rates are based on years of service:

    • 0–6 months: 0 accrual; 40 hours granted at 6 months

    • 6 months–2 years: 184 hours/year (0.0885 hours/hour paid)

    • 2–6 years: 224 hours/year (0.1077 hours/hour paid)

    • 6–10 years: 264 hours/year (0.1274 hours/hour paid)

    • 10+ years: 300 hours/year (0.1445 hours/hour paid)

    • Maximum accrual: 300 hours. PTO is paid out upon termination per Sunnyhill’s policy.

  • Tuition Program with Lindenwood University: Eligible employees receive a 20% tuition discount for online and graduate programs at Lindenwood University, including:

    • Undergraduate and graduate degrees

    • Flexible formats (in-person, online, or blended)

    • Over 35 online programs taught by expert faculty

    • Support for transferring credits from other institutions
