Since joining our ISLA program in 2021, Dallin has transformed his life with inspiring determination and resilience. This extraordinary young man has built a stable, nurturing home environment through disciplined daily routines that empower his independence. From mastering meticulous cleaning habits and savvy budgeting skills to crafting nutritious meals and prioritizing personal wellness, Dallin’s commitment to self-improvement has fueled his remarkable journey.

Beyond his structured routines, Dallin’s passion for hands-on problem-solving shines brightly. In his free time, he thrives on repairing and rebuilding, turning challenges into opportunities with creativity and resourcefulness. His mechanical ingenuity came to life in a standout project: “In January 2024, Dallin Lake was given a truck by his birth mother that wasn’t running. He rebuilt the engine, transmission, and differentials, and kept upgrading different parts of the vehicle. He added a brand-new snorkel intake and converted the locking axles and differentials from electronic to manual pneumatic switches. After giving it a fresh paint job, the truck is now roadworthy and ready to hit the trails for some serious off-roading.”
